Jason Johnson relaunches the brand he started years ago, with local news, community voices, and a lot more to come.

I’m going my own way and bringing back JacoToday, the brand I started a long time ago and have always been proud of. The timing was never right before. This time I’m committed.
What you can expect
JacoToday will cover what’s happening across Jackson County, including local events, city and county meetings, and new ordinances that affect you. I’ll always tell you when I’m giving my opinion. My goal is simple: all 43,000 of us should know what’s going on in our own backyard.
Coming up
- November: hunting season, Thanksgiving, and local merchants with holiday deals and shopping tips. Christmas is closer than you think, so start now.
- Early next year: financial planning, tax preparation, and spring gardening, with local experts.
- Breast Cancer Awareness Month: a planned interview didn’t come together this month. The conversation matters beyond October, and I’m working to bring it to you soon.
Your voice belongs here
Coaches, student athletes from T-ball to varsity, teachers and school leaders, health care and law enforcement, and county and city officials are all welcome. Some issues take more than the three minutes you get at the podium, and I want to give them room.
How to follow along
Follow the JacoToday page on Facebook. To join the private JacoToday group, message me and I’ll send you the link. It’s private to keep spammers out and to help me get to know the people in it. Please share the page and this post with a neighbor.
Let’s build Jackson County up and leave it better than we found it.
