Toni Primavera Hinson, born on September 17, 1947, in The Bronx, New York, passed away on September 21, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama, after a courageous battle against cancer and other critical illnesses.
She lived a life marked by strength, and love for her family and friends. Family was the center of Toni’s life, and she took great pride in the people she loved. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them.
Toni loved growing flowers and always had special conversations with Brent William’s about her gardening. She enjoyed fishing and enjoyed the peace that came from time spent in the outdoors.
Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Louise and Tony Primavera, and her sister, Charlotte Laramore.
She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Robert Hinson; her sons, Charlie Strickland and his wife, Donna, of Marianna, Florida, Nate “Wes” Strickland and his wife, Samantha, of Tallahassee, Florida; step son, Rob Hinson; step daughter, Amy Hinson; her sister, Rosie Paramore of Greenwood, Florida; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her three best friends also known as “The Ya Ya’s”, Sharon Edwards, Kay Coates, and Daphnie Watkins as well as her special friend, Ann Strickland.
A private family service will be held at a later date with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in-charge of arrangements.
