Damian Gauge Martin went home to be with his Heavenly Father on the afternoon of September 26, 2026.
Damian was born March 31, 1994, in Dothan, Alabama. A graduate of Rehobeth High School Class of 2012, attending Enterprise State Community College, and entering the work force as an automotive mechanic. Damian worked with Herc Rentals until his sudden illness. Damian’s faith, love for his family, and his church family at Sardis Church was evident to all who knew him. He enjoyed watching dirt races, hunting, fishing, and Auburn football “War Eagle”! Most of all he loved being a Daddy.
He is preceded in death by his pawpaw James Martin.
Survived by his devoted wife Summer Ryken Martin, five children Aubrey, Southernlynn, Jett, Everly, Renna, his mother June Martin Jordan (Michael), maternal grandmother Mary Martin, sister Dorian Harvey (Tucker), nephew T.J. Tucker, mother-in-law and father-in-law Alesia and Johnny Ryken, sister-in-law Savannah Ryken (Cally) and best friend Cody Blackstone.
A Celebration of His Life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Sardis Church with Bro. Tom Chestnut officiating with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, 10 a.m. until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made in Damians memory to Sardis Church 649 Co. Rd. 67 Hartford, Alabama 36344.
