Sharon Lynn Deese, age 65, of Cottondale, FL, passed away on Monday September 28, 2026 while surrounded by her loved ones. She was a dedicated mother not only to her children, but to others that needed that motherly love. She loved to talk, drink her coffee, and most importantly be around the ones that she loved. It was always a great time when you were around, because you never knew what crazy things she would say. Losing her is a tragedy for the ones that knew her, but we will always have the memories that she has left behind, with each one being as unique as she was.
Sharon was preceded in death by her youngest son, Dereck Deese, and her parents, Boyd and Kathleen Griffith. She is survived by her three children, Tabitha Kirkland (Eric Johnson) of Springfield, GA, Dale Deese of Cottondale, FL, and Daisy Lyon (Gary) of Cottondale, FL; and her husband, Lonnie Deese of Cottondale, FL. We would also like to mention someone who was like a son to her, Henry Carr (Ann) of Dothan, AL. She has six grandkids, Trinity Owens (Dominick) of Pooler, GA, Hayden Kirkland of Springfield, GA, Gary Lyon Jr, Keith Lyon, Samuel Lyon, and Zackary Lyon, all from Cottondale, FL, and one great granddaughter, Oaklee Grace Lyon. She also has eight sisters; two brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
No services are planned at this time. Memorialization will be by cremation. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe Family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
