In my last post I explained why we dont have a radio station in Jackson County. We actually do and a few people do listen but aren’t fans of the music genre, and that’s ok. Through my 18 months of working with WJAQ I got to know and like Mr. Jimmy Adams the owner of WTYS. Since his passing I have no knowledge of the station nor its disposition. Simply stated the people who have spoken to me about the potential for an alternate station are primarily country music fans but also like other types of music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s (who doesn’t?). I would like to have a mix of all of it including some gospel music on Sundays for everyone to enjoy. I will add a survey to this post somewhere to get the feedback you good people will give me. I will be taking suggestions on genres, artists, programming and anything you guys want to hear. I am keeping the schedule about the same as we had it on WJAQ with Business News re-airing on Saturdays, mid morning. You will be able to listen online right here from the front page and the radio page in the menu. If you have news or items of interest please let me know and we will get it on for you. For now, tonight this is it for the radio updates, keep checking back.
